The Hotel Venezia is the ideal starting point to discover Malcesine and the surrounding area.

The municipality of Malcesine extends for about 9 km to the east coast of Lake Garda and runs through both versants of Monte Baldo.

The harbour of Malcesine is only a few steps away from the hotel, where the liners dock and leave. A little further towards the center you can visit the Palazzo dei Capitani (historical seat of the Doges) and then through the winding alleyways of the center to the Scaliger Castle of Malcesine.

Many weddings and events and lyrical concerts are held inside the castle, which dominates the village from a high cliff.

For athletes and nature lovers, our area offers a wide range of activities, such as Swimming, surfing, kite surfing, sailing, sup, but also trips to Monte Baldo with the cable car that takes you up to 1800m in about 30 minutes. Discover the flora and fauna of the mountain here and admire the view of the lake from above.

Before  and behind the center of Malcesine, the cycle path begins along the bank. The flat course allows you to enjoy the spectacular view.

Just 20 km further north you can discover Torbole, Riva and Arco, or even further the valleys of the Trentino with its famous mountain lakes.

In the south, the lake awaits you with the flat banks of the plain and a completely different landscape.

Lake Garda is also famous for its enogastronomic specialties, from the exquisite olive oil from our groves to the wines of the nearby Valpolicella, such as:  Amarone, Valpolicella Ripasso or Recioto or from the vineyards on the southern lake such as Bardolino or Lugana.

Sausages and cheese from the villages above Lake Garda are also famous, such as the Formagella from Tremosine or the Monte Veronese.
